Join Maupintown Media & Charlottesville, Virgina Filmmaker Lorenzo Dickerson for his newest documentary film entitled "Albemarle's Black Classrooms".


Due to the overwhelming interest in the film, a second show date has been added for Sunday, February 26th at 3:00pm

The Film

The story of historical African-American grade schools in Albemarle County, VA, along with Virginia's "Massive Resistance" to school desegregation and the experience of African-American educators and students over the past 100 years.

After the film's screening, Lorenzo will host a question and answer session with the audience.  Experience a time of learning about the local history of education for African-Americans in Albemarle County, Virginia.

Clear your calendar - It's going down! Ferris kicks off on March 16th, and you're invited to take part in the festivities. Roberta's (261 Moore Street) is our meeting spot for a night of fun and excitement.
